As part of our commitment to the Outward Bound Trust, Scott Direct’s Warehouse Supervisor, Blair Caldwell, recently attended a five-day residential ‘Adventure and Challenge’ course with 35 young people from Falkirk’s Braes High School at the Loch Eil Centre.
Speaking about his experience, he said: “It was absolutely fantastic, one of the best weeks I’ve had, and really rewarding working with the kids and watching them start to understand and implement the things they were being shown. I’ve also picked up a few tips and tricks that should help me develop my own approach to management and training.”
The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that uses the outdoors to help develop young people from all walks of life. Through the generosity of donors, it runs adventurous and challenging outdoor learning courses that equip young people with valuable skills for education, work and life. The courses help them to become more confident, more effective and more capable at school, college and in the workplace.
