We’re delighted to announce our investment in a new computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) – Rockwell Automation’s Fiix has now been implemented at our Burntisland and Peterborough sites and will be rolled out across the rest of our UK site network by the end of the year.
Hassam Hernandez, Scott Pallets’ Operations Director – Manufacturing, said: “Fiix is a full maintenance solution that enables us to collect live operational data and turn it into action. By seamlessly integrating with our business management systems, we can take full control of our equipment maintenance inventory and it has the tools we need to cut downtime and extend asset life, ensuring safety and productivity.
“Better maintenance also drives sustainability by helping to reduce energy consumption and waste, and we’re delighted to be taking strides forward in this area.”
This new system not only standardises our operating procedure across all sites and integrates with existing systems, but it enables better maintenance planning, supports forecasting and reporting procedures, increases uptime and improves cost governance and parts management.
Curtis Turker, Group Automation and Reliability Asset Engineer at Scott Pallets, said: “Managing geographically dispersed sites and their engineering activities and spare parts has always been a challenge, but Fiix provides the necessary tools to oversee these aspects efficiently. The system excels in facilitating engineering activities, ensuring jobs are completed effectively and timely. Additionally, Fiix’s comprehensive performance data highlights recurring issues, allowing us to pinpoint problem areas and focus our investigations precisely.
“Implementing the Fiix CMMS system at Scott Pallets has transformed our engineering operations, and we are enthusiastic about the further positive impacts Fiix will bring to our business.”
Fiix is on a mission to make maintenance teams successful by focusing on a modern tech stack, technician-first mobile app and its CMMS Integration Hub to help drive automation and optimisation. Find out more here.
